If you’re free tomorrow night and live in New York then come check out the debut of Pork Barrel: featuring Convoy and Pork Barrel (aka Patrick Clair). We’re doing a show at the Brooklyn Lyceum along with many other fine NY improv folks as part of Gentrify Brooklyn. Show starts at 10:00 pm.
Damn it Pavement! Why did you have to do this on Thursday AKA the night Todd’s evening is filled up with improv shows and rehearsals.
I call huge amounts of bullshit on this. The Democrats passed a bill by legal means. At least wait until after they use reconciliation to throw your hissy fit. (Not that that would make it okay, but at least it would be a reaction to something that they can claim violates or stretches the Senate rules)
Hello New York Tumblrs. I’ll be coming to your town on Friday for a few days of doing shows, eating and hanging out.
On Tuesday March 30th at 11:00 pm my improv group Convoy is doing a show at UCB NY. It’s our first show at UCB NY outside of the Del Close Marathon and we’re all pretty excited about it. Reservations are filling up so if you haven’t made one yet click on the link and make one now. We’re paired with the excellent Outlook Of The Poet so look forward to experiencing the most delightful evening of comedy ever to occur.
Also, any tips on where I should eat in NYC?
(I’m pretty much game for anything food wise, but I always enjoy a good burger, BBQ, sandwiches, pizza, or whatever new place has just opened that everyone says is awesome)
This entire article reads like an Onion article, for example:
“Fred R. Shapiro, an associate librarian, explained the latest acquisition: “A hundred years from now, if someone wants to study the bobbleheads, where will they go? There needs to be an archive.””
and
“The bobblehead of Justice David H. Souter, for instance, wears heavy gold jewelry and sits on a lifeguard stand, reminders of his opinions in a copyright case involving the rap group 2 Live Crew and a sexual harassment case brought by a female lifeguard. In a secondcopyright case, Justice Souter referred to “the latest release by Modest Mouse”; his bobblehead plays a snippet of a song by the band.
These new acquisitions present challenges. “I don’t know if anyone has cataloged bobbleheads before,” Mr. Shapiro said. “This might be breaking new ground.””
Thanks Pitchfork, glad we cleared that one up.
